wllwproject Plays| A Partially Mysterious Ensemble

wllw 3

Are you able to mentally picture how the ensemble looks like as a whole?

Mr M and I decided to flex our creative muscles on Sunday by doing something a little different for my usual weekend outfit post. Instead of scouting for a good outdoor location to strike the posey-poses, we found ourselves at Mr M’s ‘studio’ aka bedroom experimenting on a new concept. We wanted to showcase the items individually and give readers a few seconds to play a game of association before seeing the final image. What’s the point of talking about fashion if we can’t have a bit of fun right?

Taking product photos in a compelling way wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to do. There’s a whole bunch of considerations like lighting, shadow, and the positioning of the item which is a whole lot harder than when it’s draped on the body.  This is a big learning experience for us and I’m hoping to build on it further to keep the images on this blog as fresh as possible. I shamefully haven’t exercised for months and holding my hand out and legs up in a still position for more than 8 seconds at a time had brought about shaky muscles. Hmnn… a wake up call to start using those limp muscles again!

Ah grey tee, how I love thee! It’s such a great staple to have (styled here with blazer and jeans, here with a cute orange floral scarf and here with stripes and coloured denim).

My mama gave me this beautiful wrap skirt a few months ago and she’s finally making her debut. Although I’m still in the process of learning how to appreciate the wrap design outside the beach context, this floral print does have a certain charm to it. I could see myself pairing it with something light weight during spring/summer. Let’s wait and see.

I’ve worn this bad boy for so many times in this blog that it may even be insulting (to the jacket) if I talk anymore about this denim number (seen here with a red dress, here with a tank and burgandy jeans).

This pair of boots is one of my favourite purchases for Autumn/Winter this year. I’ve worn this so many times that the leather has softened up to the extent where they felt a little loose on me now. I still adore them nonetheless. I’m definitely not going to abandon them till Summer arrives! (worn here with an oversized knit and maxi, here with a vintage shirt and here with a mini dress)

And now, drum roll please……..

WELL DONE if your mental image of the outfit (+ my sulky face) was close to this! Hope you had a little fun and also enjoyed the mini recap on the previous pairings of some of my most recycled items.

Can’t believe it’s Friday again! Now please go and have more fun and see you next week.
