Rest and simplicity are the 2 words that I would like to abide by as we draw closer and closer to the end of this year.
Traditionally December would be a month of extravagance and excessiveness but this year, my mind and body are asking me to slow down and just let go of social expectations. I yearn to sit back and enjoy the little things that I find difficult to allocate time for on a day-to-day basis. I yearn to spend more time with Mr M and really invest into the foundation of our marriage. Of course this is also a time when I would miss my family even more but thank God for cheap(er) phone calls, whatsapp, budget airlines and the flexibility to fly any time of the year!
As my wardrobe archive would suggest, I dress reasonably casually and WLLWPROJECT is quite a true reflection of the lifestyle that I lead. I don’t really have many fancy events to go to or parties to attend so I do make very conscious efforts to select pieces that are not too OTT that would allow for constant recycling. I do however like to treat myself to some glitz and glitter once in a while and these gold clogs are such an amazing pick-me-up. They scream party without compromising on practicality. They go with most of my neutral outfits and most importantly, a bit of height does wonders to the way a person strides! I’m eyeing on this other pair but I think that would need to come much later as I’ve completely squeezed the life out of my purse lately. I’m planning to give them a lot of airtime this summer and I’m banking on them to hold up as my other prized Zara lace-up flats (see this, this and this) have seemingly come to the end of their expiration date.
Have all the festivities made you want to add some sparkly things to your wardrobe too? 🙂
Have a very Merry Christmas people and I wish you a good time indulging with your loved ones. Now’s definitely the time to remind myself that above all the food, wine, presents and merry-making, He is the true meaning of it all.
