Sweet Simplicity

I love weddings. I don’t think I could ever get enough of seeing 2 people uniting for the simple reason of love.

Mr M and I attended our first country wedding at the Blue Mountains last weekend and we had such a ball! It was a mini getaway for us and a bunch of awesome friends and I absolutely enjoyed every single minute of it. Witnessing a love covenant that was sealed in the name of God was beyond precious. I couldn’t have felt more honoured to be a part of the wonderful celebration.

Of course, a great occasion also called for a great dress and I was super excited to take this beauty out for her first ride! I fell in love with this purple dress by Poem the moment I put it on in Bangkok. The structure and length were perfect and I was totally convinced that it was made for me. I especially love the deep V at the back of the dress as it added a touch of sexiness to an otherwise conservative dress. The large bow also made me feel very feminine and somewhat princess-y. One of the things that I liked about this dress was that minimal jewellery was needed to complete the look. In my opinion, there was no need for any other distractions except for a pearl necklace. I also opted for some nude pumps and a cream clutch to keep the look and colour palette as clean as possible.

I think this was by far one of the best ‘wedding guest’ looks that I’ve ever pulled off. In fact I was so amazed that the dress was in place all night without the need for any adjustments. Thai brand Poem has definitely won my heart.

What’s the best outfit you’ve ever worn to a wedding/formal event and where did you purchase it?

I look forward to reading your fond memories!

  1. You look absolutely gorgeous and the photography is stunning!! Actually, my favorite dress ever worn to a wedding was a sweet pale peach/pink lace dress I wore to my brother’s beach wedding from the label “Fire” 🙂
