WLLWPROJECT was born out of a desire to express and experiment, mainly with fashion. Whilst I’m glad that the core objective hasn’t wavered in any form or shape, we’ve also tried to dabble with various photography styles simply for our own creative sake as well as to change things up a bit.
For this post, Mr M and I decided to play with low key lighting. It’s not our go-to style but I definitely like the darker and more mysterious vibe. Similarly with the outfit, I really wanted to play with layering and wear something cosy on that gloomy day so my Topshop turtleneck dress was one of the first items that came to mind. I was also craving for my frayed denim dress so I decided to pair them both together. As much as I love the denim dress, the frayed sections fell apart even before purchase (thanks to my carelessness). I haven’t been too conscious about it however as I think the imperfections are part of that nonchalant look. Personally I would consider myself to be a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to certain things but the older I get, the less hung up I am over a bit of loose threads or dirt on my material possessions. My own knitting and sewing handiwork is an outrageous exception though but I’ll leave that for another day (all I can say is “someone please help me!”)
So back to the joy of experiments, what is the one thing that you’ve done boldly and differently that made you smile?
x
Definitely to participate in life and create more experience! One of the boldest thing I’ve done was being an extra in a Hong Kong movie [Acted as a Mahjong Queen] and it was so much fun 😀
