Khaki + White

The beauty is that the garment doesn’t really require too much fussing over and care and a bit of dirt on it wouldn’t send me into panic mode (did anyone just say Burberry?).

Khaki, or olive colour (where should I draw the line really?) is back in the fashion scene for a number of months now and it wasn’t until last weekend that I truly had the urge to play with the colour. I felt particularly strongly about the khaki+white combo this time round after being reminded of it over at Wit and Delight so I was quite adamant to concoct my own mix with what I could find within my stash (shopping ban is still strictly enforced).

My Stylenanda collarless trench is the source of khaki for my look but I have mixed feelings about it. It belongs to the “one size fits all” club hence the fit is big and bulky. I don’t really mind volume but this is definitely not one for dressier or more formal occasions where being sleek and polished is preferred. It is however great for someone with a casual lifestyle like mine. The beauty is that the garment doesn’t really require too much fussing over and care and a bit of dirt on it wouldn’t send me into panic mode (did anyone just say Burberry?). Not exactly the best constructed trench around but definitely fits in with my lifestyle choices.

This ensemble saw us through a beautiful brunch at Bootsdarling, a beautiful chance encounter of Beautiful Pages and a nostalgic visit to Berkelouw Books at Paddington. Mr M and I got married at Berkelouw Book Barn in the Southern Highlands so all things associated with Berkelouw will always be looked upon fondly.

Have you been incorporating khaki in your outfits lately? What khaki combo is your favourite?

  1. Woooo thanks for sharing the W&D editorial- really like both your khaki looks! I don’t own anything khaki besides a parka which I find a little too hipster for my taste now (it’s also super hot here). I like how you paired it with whites for a more ‘fresh’ look!
