Hearty Earth Tones

My friend called the faux fur collar “roadkill” and you know what, I like that! Sometimes it’s just cool to not take what we wear too seriously.

Dress UniqloxLemaire (on sale!) Mules Zara Faux Fur Collar Zara Clutch Witchery Ring Mom’s

Mr M and I had taken some time off to travel to Iceland and NYC and now that I’m back in Australia, I’m slowly easing my way back into blogging again.

I just have so so so many incredible photos to show you about these 2 vastly different countries but before I do that, I would like to share a few photos of the outfit I wore to our friend’s wedding last month. There were no specific instructions pertaining to our attire so I opted for something simple, which was totally unsurprising considering my love for easy dressing.

The dress is from the UniqloxLemaire collaboration and I cannot say enough good things about its quality. The one thing I really appreciate about Uniqlo is that although the brand does not belong to the realm of high fashion, they do not skim on important things like workmanship. I love the way some of their things are packaged (sorry if plastic really irks you) and applaud them for the great basics that they make. It really is quite nice to score something decent without breaking the bank. Of course I had to add my trusty faux fur collar for a touch of luxe. My friend called the collar “roadkill” and you know what, I like that! Sometimes it’s just cool to not take what we wear too seriously.

Stay tuned for the next post as it will be the beginning of a series on Iceland and NYC. If you’re expecting high fashion street style photos, you would be disappointed. However do expect practical outfits from someone living out of a suitcase and lots of raw and untouched landscapes that completely changed my view about nature and God’s creations.

Come back! I’m keen to promote Iceland as your next travel destination because it’s totally worth it!
