Gerroa was beautiful.

We were so fortunate to be able to make our way to the South Coast of NSW for a short escape and even more fortunate to secure a last minute booking at The Blue Swimmer. I was pretty happy that coastal living is generally very relaxing and this directly translates to an “expected” casual approach when it comes to dressing. I just don’t have too many new and fancy things to put together at the moment so most of my items are on repeat. Whilst I would prefer to have the latest fashion items to show you, I’m also well aware of my recent crafty expenditures (see this and this) so shopping has taken a couple of steps back in my list of priorities. I’ve also done a major closet cleanup a week ago inspired by Oh Joy! and Marie Kondo and I want to embrace my less cluttered environment for a tad longer. I gotta admit that it’s hard to pull outfits together with clothes that don’t inspire at the moment but I want to give my clothes (and money) the love that they deserve. I might totally break this principle before the end of this week but right now, I just don’t have the desire to purchase anything new.

So there I was, wearing a very simple black and white look on the day of my road trip and hanging on to my hat for dear life! It was unfussy and great for the warm weather. Ah and ever since I started wearing red lips more frequently, I’m convinced that bold lips are the only thing that’s needed to perk up a day to day look. Agree?
