Ah, there’s just so much that I could write about knitting. The reasons that I enjoy it, the journey that I’ve been on, some important lessons, projects that I’m currently working on and a whole heap of things that are associated with yarns. I know I sound like a grandma and not very fashionable at all but you know what, maybe I’m a grandma at heart and I’m at peace with it!

So, I took the plunge and knitted my very first jumper, a baby version one that is. I’m super happy with it, not because it’s perfect (not) but because I actually made a jumper with my own hands! Is this not a miracle or what? I was never that into crafts (just because crafting wasn’t part of the norm growing up) and it’s pretty hard to believe that I just made something that is actually cute and functional…

Wowzer.

If this knitting bug keeps going on, I may even have a complete wardrobe for my future babies before they were anywhere to be found. Kidding!

I’m particularly in love with the buttons that I chose for this jumper because they are just so fun and bright! I purchased them at the best button shop that I’ve ever come across and I actually cannot wait to go back there to stock up for my future projects. I think this is definitely a perk that comes with DIYs.

It’s definitely in my heart to share more about some of the lessons I’ve learnt as a beginner knitter and I will definitely write a post up on that when I get a chance to.

If you’re interested but don’t know where to start, do stay tuned for that.

One word of advice though, JUST DO IT!

If you’re a beginner like me, I would love to hear about your journey!

xx
