Denim on denim is something that I tend to gravitative towards when I’m lazy or short on pairing ideas. The denim fabric is so versatile and I cannot imagine life without it, ever. What am I going to wear on my days off that’s easy, doesn’t require much effort yet still stylish?

I purchased the denim jacket above at a vintage shop called Narnia Vintage  on our recent trip to NY and have been wearing it non-stop. I probably paid too much for it (the shocking Australian dollar was part of the culprit) so I’m very glad that I’m extracting as much as I could out of it. The fabric is seasoned and soft and the splotches of green truly make it one of a kind. I do feel special in it, and I think that’s what all of us need, pieces that are uplifting and evoke fond memories. Clothes are not only meant to keep us modest and warm, they too affect our psychology and emotions so I think it’s quite important to pick and choose things that work for you; things that put a smile on your face; things that make you feel good about yourself.

That’s all for this outfit intermission.

I’m taking you back to Iceland again in the next post. Come and join me for some glacier hiking at Faljokull! Meanwhile, head over to the previous posts for a glimpse of Iceland thus far.
